Ceist:

30 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received a request from Galway County Council to upgrade the N84 road Galway/Headford Road to national primary road status; if so, his views on the grounds upon which this request is made; and when a decision will issue.

The case for upgrading the N84 to national primary status has been examined in my Department but the conclusion is that reclassification is not warranted. The County Council has been advised of this.
