91 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for the Environment whether, in the context of the installation for waste disposal at Ballymount, County Dublin, it is normal for the Minister to apply for EC funding before the EIS is prepared.
, Wexford): Provided that project proposals submitted for EC assistance are consistent with Community policy, there is no reason not to initiate application procedures at the earliest opportunity. Relevant details of the environmental impact assessment for the Ballymount facility will, as required, be forwarded to the EC Commission as soon as it becomes available.
