51 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Social Welfare the overall allocation of funds from the national lottery to his Department in the years from 1991 to date; the specific projects funded; and the amount allocated to each project.

The amounts allocated by the Government to my Department from national lottery funding from 1991 to date are as follows:—

0.75	For the scheme of “once-off” grants to voluntary organisations.
0.75	For community development projects.
0.50	For a scheme of grants for locallybased women's groups.
0.01	For co-operative housing projects for homeless, single parents and the disabled.

0.50	For a scheme of grants for locallybased women's groups.
1.25	For community development projects.
0.60	For special grants to voluntary organisations announced in the context of the budget.
0.26	For pilot projects aimed at building new and more comprehensive approaches to combating the problems of moneylending.

The applications under the 1993 schemes are at present being processed.

In view of the large number of individual organisations funded it would not be possible without a disproportionate expenditure of staff time and resources to compile the information sought by the Deputy in the time available. I will arrange, however, to have the necessary information forwarded to the Deputy in due course.
