The question of ill-treatment of animals is a matter for the Garda Síochana under the Protection of Animals Acts, 1911 and 1965.
My Department's role in relation to Dublin Zoo is confined to the provision of veterinary expertise and advice together with the analysis of samples in the Department's Laboratory.
