Vol. 431 No. 6

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Theresa Ahearn

Ceist:

97 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a suckler cow grant, a sheep headage grant and a ewe premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Despite a recheck, my Department is unable to trace any 1992 suckler cow premium, sheep headage or ewe premium schemes applications from the person named.

Theresa Ahearn

Ceist:

98 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a suckler cow grant and a beef subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

This applicant's 1992 suckler cow premium and 1992 beef cow and equines headage schemes grants are being processed at present and if found in order payments will be made shortly. A delay in making these payments arose because of a clerical error.

He was paid his December 1992 special beef premium scheme grant on 25 May 1993. He did not apply under the June 1992 special beef premium scheme application period.

100 Mr. Davern asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when payment under the EC special beef premium scheme will be issued in respect of the application by a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary.

The person named is deceased. His personal representative will be paid 1992 special beef premium scheme grants shortly.

Noel Davern

Ceist:

101 Mr. Davern asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when payments of the 1992 beef premium scheme will be issued to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary.

The person named is not the registered owner of the herd number quoted.

The registered herdowner did not, however, apply for grants under the 1992 special beef premium scheme in either the June/July or November/December 1992 application periods.

He did apply for the 22 month 1993 special beef premium scheme in January 1993 and his application will be processed as soon as possible.

Charles Flanagan

Ceist:

102 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a suckler cow grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly.

The person named was paid his grant under the 1992 suckler cow premium scheme on 25 May 1993.

Jim Higgins

Ceist:

103 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason for the delay in the payment of a beef premium to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo.

The person named has been paid his grants under the June 1992 special beef premium scheme. His December 1992 application for grants under special beef premium scheme is being processed at present and payment will be made as soon as possible.

James Leonard

Ceist:

104 Mr. Leonard asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a beef cow grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan.

The person named has been already been paid his grants under the 1992 beef cow and equines headage scheme. His application for grants under the June 1992 special beef premium scheme was rejected when subjected to a computer validation check because of clerical error. This problem is being dealt with at present and payment should be made within a fortnight.

His applications for grants under the December 1992 suckler cow and special beef premium schemes are being processed at present and payments will issue as soon as possible.
