Ceist:

256 Mr. Barrett asked the Minister for Education if she intends replacing the County Dublin vocational education committee and the Dún Laoghaire vocational education committee with three new Vocational Education Committees in line with the three new county councils in County Dublin which are due to be in place on 1 January 1994.

My proposals in relation to the vocational education committees in question will be contained in the Local Government (Dublin) Bill, 1993, which is in course of preparation and will be published soon. As the Bill has not been published it would not be appropriate for me to make any comment about the proposed contents of the Bill at this stage.
