87 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Finance if the projections in the Programme for a Partnership Government 1993 to 1997 are in accordance with the objectives in the National Development Plan; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The central objective of the National Development Plan for the post 1993 Structural and Cohesion Funds is the creation of sustainable employment and growth. This is also a key objective of the Programme for a Partnership Government. The Government is currently considering a range of inputs in drawing up the Plan. The Plan is, of course, being prepared in the context of the Government's Programme for Government.
