Written Answers. - Dublin and Monaghan Car Bombs.

104 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Justice if the Garda received co-operation from their counterparts in Northern Ireland and United Kingdom in the course of their investigations following the 1974 car bombs in Dublin and Monaghan; if she has received submissions in relation to the bombings, in particular from relatives of the victims; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I do not propose to provide information regarding the detailed inquiries made by the Garda concerning the 1974 car bombings in Dublin and Monaghan beyond confirming that any co-operation sought from the sources mentioned in this question was forthcoming.

I received one letter concerning these bombings from a relative of one of the victims of the Dublin bombing. My reply to this letter issued on 11 June 1993.
