Written Answers. - Dublin Burglary Statistics.

54 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Justice the number of burglaries of dwellings and detections in each Garda station in the Dublin Metropolitan area north central division for 1992; if she will give comparative figures for 1982; and if there has been any noticeable increase in burglaries to date in 1993.

The number of burglaries at dwellings recorded by the Garda Síoch-ána and the number of detections in 1982 and 1991 (the latest year for which figures are available) for the sub-districts of the North Central Garda Division of the Dublin Metropolitan Area are set out in the following tabular statement:

As can be seen from these figures the number of recorded burglaries at dwellings in the Dublin North Central Division decreased by 42 per cent between 1982 and 1991.
