Ceist:315 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason for the failure to honour an agreement with farmers who availed of the milk quota buy-out scheme, concerning payments which were due in August 1993.

There is no date agreed with participants or specified in the relevant EC Regulations for payment of the annual instalments under the 1992 EC Buy-up Scheme. The first annual instalment was paid on 7 September 1992 and the second annual instalment was paid on 24 September 1993.
