Pat Upton

Ceist:

210 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Education if she has responsibility for the provision of buildings for the education of children now located at James Connolly House, Blanchardstown, County Dublin.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 188 and 210 together.

Responsibility for the provision of buildings in this case is a matter in the first instance for the school authorities but grant-aid is available on the usual conditions from my Department.

An application for a capital grant towards the cost of a new school on a new site is under consideration in my Department and a decision will be conveyed to the school authorities as soon as possible.
