Ceist:22 Mrs. Doyle asked the Minister for Justice the rate of recidivism amongst offenders sentenced to community service orders.

The information sought by the Deputy is not readily available and could not be obtained without an inordinate expenditure of staff time. However, research into offending behaviour during the currency of Community Service Orders shows that approximately 85 per cent completed the order without reoffending during the period of the order.
