56 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for the Environment if he will provide the necessary funds to allow Stage 4 of North Kerry East (Listowel) regional water scheme to go to tender in view of the fact that over 500 families in the Asdee area of North Kerry are still without a mains water supply; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Contract documents for Stage 4 of the Listowel regional water supply scheme are under consideration in my Department. The question of funding for this scheme is being examined at present in the context of the post-1993 Operational Programme for Environmental Services.
57 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for the Environment if finance will be provided to Cork County Council to proceed with Stage 3 of the Skibbereen regional water scheme, County Cork, in the 1994 Estimates.
Tender proposals for Stage 3 of the Skibbereen regional water supply scheme are under consideration in my Department. The question of funding for this scheme is being examined at present in the context of the post-1993 Operational Programme for Environmental Services.
