Ceist:90 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for Social Welfare if funding will be made available to the Louisburgh Development Centre, County Mayo, to enable them to continue running the Louisburgh Resource Centre.

Louisburgh Development Company Ltd. was one of a number of community development projects funded by my Department for a three year period from 1990. The Company's funding contract with the Department expired at the end of 1992.
The possibilities for a further community development project in the Louisburgh area on the basis of the participation and agreement of all local community interest are being examined at present.
Meanwhile, the Company concerned have also applied for a grant under the Scheme of Grants to Voluntary Organisations towards the Centre. This application is being processed at present and they will be notified of the outcome soon.
