Ceist:65 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will consider a person (details supplied) in County Cork for a higher rate of sheep quota; and if not, the reasons for this decision.

The person named is not the registered herdowner of the herdnumber quoted. The person who is, however, has submitted an application for ewe premium reserve quota from the national reserve which has been established for allocation to certain categories of producers.
A decision on whether or not he is eligible for an allocation of quota from the reserve will be made as soon as all applications received for reserve quota have been processed by my Department. This is expected to take a further five to six weeks.
