2 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Taoiseach if he will extend the boundries of the Finglas and Ballymun area partnerships to cover a greater part of Dublin north west as many people in Santry, Glasnevin and Whitehall object that they are discriminated against by not having the same services and schemes available to them as others living close by.
3 Mr. Currie asked the Taoiseach if he will identify the thirty disadvantaged areas which will receive financial assistance under the Local Development Programme; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 2 and 3 together.
Under the Local Development Programme in the National Development Plan 1994-99, the area based response to long term unemployment will be extended following on discussion with the European Commission.
