Ceist:18 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has been refused a new house grant.

There is no record of the receipt of an application for a new house grant from the person named at the address given. There is, however, an application from a person with a slightly different name from the same address; in that case, a further inspection is now being arranged to establish if the house, as built, complies with the floor area requirements applicable under the grants scheme.
