Ceist:225 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for Health if he will authorise continuation work on the design and planning for Phase II of Mayo General Hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 104 and 225 together.
When I met with a deputation from the Friends of Mayo General Hospital recently, I indicated that the Phase II development of Mayo General Hospital will be considered in the context of the health capital programme for 1994, having regard to the availability of resources and the many other competing demands for hospital developments.
