Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Theresa Ahearn — the penal financial consequences for a farmer who, due to illness, failed to inform the Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry of the death of an animal within the correct time limit, thereby losing almost £3,000 in beef premia; (2) Deputy Kenneally — the difficulties experienced by handicapped pupils at St. Joseph's special school in Waterford in moving between floors; and the need for urgent action in the matter; (3) Deputy Brendan Smith — the need to make provision for a renal dialysis unit at Cavan General Hospital in the 1994 allocation to the North-Eastern Health Board; (4) Deputy Batt O'Keeffe — the need for á review of the IDA's operations in the Cork area given the number of major industries lost to that area recently; (5) An Teachta Riobárd Ó Maoildhia — Na Bunrialacha a gcaithfear cloí leo chun go gceadófaí iarratas faoi scéim na mbóithre áise; (6) Deputy Jim Higgins — the lack of accommodation, care or support services for an autistic person in County Mayo for whom home care is impossible; (7) Deputy Flanagan — the need for the Department of Education to grant official recognition to the reading problem known as Irlen Syndrome; (8) Deputy Deenihan — the need to provide finance to enable essential renovation work to be carried out on the Listowel Garda Station, County Kerry; and (9) Deputy Crawford — the form, cost and number of maps to be supplied for area aid purposes, in view of the widespread confusion in the matter. The matters raised by the following Deputies have been selected for discussion: Batt O'Keeffe; Ó Maoildhia; Jim Higgins and Flanagan.
