Vol. 436 No. 4

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Jim Higgins

Ceist:

184 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason for the delay in payment of the beef premium, slaughter premium and headage to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo.

The person named has already been paid his grants under the 1992 cattle and equines headage, suckler cow and special beef premium schemes. He has been requested to forward two cattle identity cards in connection with his application for grants under the January-February 1993 special beef premium scheme. When he does so his application will then be processed further. His 1993 slaughter premium application is being processed at present and, if found in order, payment will be made shortly. His 1993 cattle and equines headage and suckler cow premium schemes applications are being processed at present, and, if found in order, 60 per cent advances will be paid shortly.

Frank Crowley

Ceist:

185 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when the balance of a suckler cow grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The person named applied for premium in respect of 29 animals under the December 1992 suckler cow premium scheme but, due to a clerical error, was only paid grants for ten animals. Payment in respect of the remaining 19 animals has now been approved and will issue without delay.

Frank Crowley

Ceist:

186 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a decision will be made regarding an application for a milk quota by a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

I have asked the Milk Quota Appeals Tribunal to make a recommendation to me on the application for additional quota made by the person named.
