Ceist:123 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Justice the number, type and value of fireworks that were confiscated by the Garda during the recent Hallowe'en festive season.
Written Answers. - Confiscation of Fireworks.
I am informed by the Garda authorities that a substantial quantity of illegally imported fireworks valued at approximately £116,000 were confiscated over the Hallowe'en period, and subsequently destroyed. Details of the types of fireworks confiscated are not readily available.
