Ceist:149 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason payment of sheep subsidy for 1993 has been refused to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

The person named was not paid the advances of the 1993 ewe premium as he has no quota. He has however applied for a quota from the national reserve. These applications are being processed at present and if he is successful his application for payment of 1993 ewe premium can then be processed.
