189 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he intends to reintroduce grant aid under the National Development Plan 1994-1999 for pollution control by small and part-time farmers as was available about two years ago.

The Government in the National Plan has confirmed its intention to continue to support investment in farm pollution control. I expect that the new scheme will be launched shortly after the plan has been approved in Brussels.
