218 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Education if she will sanction the purchase by Dungarvan Vocational Education Committee, County Waterford, of an adjoining property at the school which would allow for the substantial expansion of the school complex.
I would refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 43 put down by him on 17 November 1993. County Waterford Vocational Education Committee submitted a proposal to my Department seeking approval to purchase a property adjoining Dungarvan vocational school in order to extend the school site. This proposal together with a proposal for the provision of a major extension to the existing school building is under consideration in my Department at present.
