Ceist:

120 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Justice if there has been a reduction in the staffing levels at the Garda Station, Leixlip, County Kildare recently; if so, the reason for such reduction; whether this will be of benefit in the fight against crime; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Since I last replied to the Deputy on 6 October, 1993 outlining the policing arrangements for Leixlip, one of the gardaí assigned to community policing duties in the area was transferred. However, the Garda authorities have informed me that a replacement was assigned on 3 December, 1993.
