38 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform if he will honour the commitment given in the Programme for Partnership Government 1993-1997 on the promotion of women in public life by State funding of a women's officer in all political parties.

The question of funding a women's officer in political parties is being prepared in the context of proposals for funding of political parties being considered by the Minister for the Environment.
