89 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for the Environment if he will ensure that a £3,000 first time buyer's house grant is paid to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 8 who has complied with all of the requirements but who is having difficulty getting the builder to meet his end of the commitment.
Under the conditions of the new house grant scheme, an applicant is required to furnish the builder's C2 certificate number or tax clearance certificate expiry date, and ocupy the house on completion as his normal place of residence. Details regarding these matters have been requested from the applicant and their receipt is awaited.
