Written Answers. - Lighting of Agricultural Vehicles.

Ceist:

93 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for the Environment if he has any plans to require tractors and other agricultural vehicles to be more easily recognisable on public roads by, for example, being required to display a flashing yellow light, in view of the number of road accidents involving such vehicles.

I have no proposals in this regard. The vehicles in question must comply with the requirements of the Road Traffic (Lighting of Vehicles) Regulations when used on public roads.
