178 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Health the total amount of money from the proceeds of the national lottery which has been distributed by his Department; and the total amount of such moneys that has been allocated to community, sporting and voluntary bodies.

179 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Health the total amount of money made available to his Department from the proceeds of the national lottery since 1 January 1993; and the uses to which this money has been put.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 178 and 179 together. The allocation of national lottery funds to my Department for 1993 is £29.359 million. The major portion of this allocation goes to support ongoing services administered by health boards or by bodies which have a close relationship with my Department. These services include:
