186 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Education if she will increase the capitation grant for Mount Sion Christian Brothers Secondary School, which, although a voluntary school, is located in a seriously disadvantaged area where employment and social conditions are concerned.
It is my intention to improve the financial position of secondary schools to the extent that any increase in resources made available to me will permit. I am at present examining the general issue of an increase in the capitation grant for secondary schools, including the school referred to by the Deputy.
