Ceist:272 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Justice the number of offenders who have been released on temporary release each weekend since 1 January 1994.
Written Answers. - Temporary Release of Offenders.
The number of offenders who were approved for temporary release on each Friday since 1 January 1994 is as follows: January 1, Nil; January 7, 46; January 14, 43; January 21, 54.
The Deputy should note that subject to operational requirements and the usual factors which are taken into account in these cases offenders may be approved for varying periods of temporary release.
