Written Answers. - Sligo Group Water Scheme.

Ceist:

330 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for the Environment if he intends to provide funding in 1994 for the next phase of the Castleconnor group water scheme, County Sligo and the Skreen Dromard group water scheme, County Sligo in view of the fact that Phase 1 in each case has been completed or is near completion; his views on the logic and equity in completing both schemes once they had been started; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Construction and financing of Phase 1 of both schemes will be completed shortly. Having regard to the high level of demand within the water and sanitary services programme, I cannot indicate at this stage when further phases of these schemes may be approved.
