Ceist:343 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Defence if a funeral grant was made available to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry whose husband served in the old IRA; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Funeral Grant.
Funeral grants are payable only in respect of deceased Veterans of the War of Independence. As the deceased person referred to was not in this category a grant in respect of funeral expenses was not payable.
