447 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the names of persons, other than those in the permanent civil service, who currently hold positions in his Department, Ministerial office, or the office of each Minister of State; the nature of the appointment; and the current salary payable.

There are also 12 temporary clerical staff employed by the Department for a period of about six weeks from 13 January 1993 to help alleviate increased work levels arising from CAP reform. The Department also engages temporary veterinary inspectors from a panel of about 500 on a fee paid basis for work on meat inspection, disease eradication and portal inspections.
