473 Mr. Byrne asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the date of an application for a slaughter premium by a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; the progress to date; the likely outcome; the reason Deputy Byrne was informed on 20 January 1994, that this application was on an error list in that it had been rejected for payment by computer; the reason a 22 month beef premium had been paid on the same cattle on 8 January 1994; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the person, upon his inquiry into the progress of his grant application in October 1993, corrected a tag number with his local office, and was then informed that his application was fully in order; if he has satisfied himself that this application was treated in a serious and business like manner; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
