Ceist:558 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Education the number of seats on the school bus from Irishtown, County Mayo, to Dunmore Post Primary Centre, and the actual number of students on the bus.

The vehicle to which the Deputy refers is a Bus Eireann 40-seater bus which has a legal carrying capacity, for school transport purposes, of 60 pupils. Currently, 58 pupils are being carried on the bus.
