Ceist:

134 Ms O'Donnell asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs the International Agreements to which Ireland has become a party to in each of the last five years; and, in each case, the date on which the agreement was concluded.

A list of those international agreements to which the State became a party during the last five years, including the date of formal acceptance and the date of entry into force for the State, is as follows:

1989

1. Montreal Protocol on the Reduction of CFC Emissions. Ratified on 16 December 1988. Entered into force on 1 January 1989.

2. Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer. Ratified on 16 December 1988. Entered into force on 1 January 1989.

3. European Convention on the Legal Status of Children born out of Wedlock. Ratified on 5 October 1988. Entered into force on 6 January 1989.

4. Agreement between Ireland and the Government of the United Kingdom concerning the Delimitation of Areas of the Continental Shelf between the two countries. Signed on 7 November 1988. Entered into force on 11 January 1989.

5. European Convention for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment. Ratified on 14 March 1988. Entered into force on 1 February 1989.

6. Protocol between Ireland and the Republic of Austria amending the Convention for the Avoidance of Double Taxation with respect to Taxes on Income, Done at Dublin, 19 June 1987. Entered into force on 1 March 1989.

7. Agreement on the International Carriage of Perishable Foodstuffs and on the Special Equipment which should be used for such Carriage (ATP) as amended to 6 July 1989. Acceded to on 22 March 1988. Entered into force on 22 March 1989.
