155 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education when grant aid will be approved to carry out urgent works at a national school (details supplied) in County Cork; and when the appointment of an additional teacher will be made.
A report on the repair work to the national school in County Cork referred to by the Deputy is awaited from the Department's technical advisers. When this report is received and considered a decision on the question of grant-aid will be conveyed to the school authority.
I have given sanction for the appointment of a second permanent assistant teacher, effective from the 1st of September 1994.
