As the Deputy will be aware, the Programme for a Partnership Government 1993-97 contains a commitment to introduce a comprehensive programme of criminal law reform and reform in certain other areas for which I also have responsibility.
I recently published the Extradition (Amendment) Bill and any further legislative proposals I may bring forward this year will be announced in the ordinary way in due course when they have been considered and approved by the Government.
