149 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for the Environment when he intends to provide the necessary finance to allow work on the Lyreacrompane-Rathae water scheme, County Kerry, to commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The design for this scheme was recently modified with a view to reducing its cost. It is expected that revised tenders will be submitted shortly. When these are received, the scheme will be assessed in relation to feasibility and grant approval.
