92 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Finance the category of employees who are entitled to the Gaeltacht allowance; if he has satisfied himself that the employees who are entitled to this allowance are in receipt of it; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I refer the Deputy to my reply to his question of 9 June 1993, which sets out the position in relation to Gaeltacht allowances for public servants.

The payment of a Gaeltacht allowance to an individual public servant is a matter for his or her direct employer in accordance with the relevant regulations applicable to the particular employment.
