199 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Education if, pending the report of the recently appointed Inspector, she has any plans to approve the appointments to the governing body of the Regional Technical College, Letterkenny, County Donegal.
I am confident that the report of the inspector will provide a firm basis for constructively resolving the difficulties which have arisen in Letterkenny Regional Technical College. Therefore, I would prefer not to make the appointments pending the availability of the inspector's report.
In addition, as the Deputy is aware, a judicial review has been initiated by the students' union on the question of student representation on the Governing Body. This also constrains my consideration of the appointment of a governing Body.
