38 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received from Dún Laoghaire/Rathdown County Council a scheme for the improvement of Leopardstown Road and Brewery Road, Foxrock, County Dublin; when he will approve this scheme; and when work will commence.
Contract documentation for works at Leopardstown Road were submitted to my Department by Dublin County Council on 28 September 1993. Although this road and Brewery Road are non-national roads, the works concerned are intrinsically linked to the construction of the remaining sections at the southern end of the Dublin C-Ring road. Approval of the works, and the time-scale, is therefore, a matter for consideration by the National Roads Authority which has, since 1 January 1994, assumed full responsibility for the development of national roads.
