77 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for the Environment his views on the stock of arts and culture books in the public library service; his views on whether there are sufficient children's books; and the measures, if any, he will take to address the matter.

Responsibility for the operation of the public library service, including the selection and provision of bookstock, rests with the relevant local authorities.
