Vol. 439 No. 4
117 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Justice the action, if any, she intends to take in relation to the recommendation of the Fair Trade Commission to review the matter of joint legal education and training.
An advisory committee on legal education and training was established last year to consider legal education including joint legal education and training. It is comprised of representatives of the Law Society, the King's Inns, the universities, the Higher Education Authority, ICTU, IBEC, the Union of Students in Ireland and my Department and is chaired by the Honourable Mr. Justice Ronan Keane. I am keeping the matter under review in the light of the deliberations of that committee.
