119 Ms McManus asked the Minister for the Environment the way in which he intends responding to an application from Rural Resettlement Ireland for £1 million investment towards a revolving fund to acquire and renovate houses in rural areas; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have considerable reservations about the viability and practical operation of such a fund and these have been conveyed to representatives of Rural Resettlement Ireland.
