Vol. 440 No. 2

Written Answers. - Ring of Kerry Roads.

Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

Ceist:

91 Mrs. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for the Environment if plans and costings are with his Department for the Ring of Kerry road, County Kerry.

Applications received in my Department on 2 March 1994 from Kerry County Council in respect of the new scheme of specific grants for improvement works on non-national roads include a proposal for improvements to the R562 from Killorglin to Killarney at a total estimated cost of £480,000. I am at present examining grant applications from local authorities generally and I will notify allocations for approved projects as soon as possible.

Any proposals in respect of the national secondary roads N70 and N71, which form the balance of the Ring of Kerry route, are matters for the National Roads Authority.
