120 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment if he will sanction finance to upsize the water main in Main Street, Belmullet, County Mayo, where businesses and residents are suffering serious problems; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A preliminary report for the Belmullet town distribution scheme is under consideration in my Department. Having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sanitary services programme, I am not in a position to indicate when a decision may be made.
