Ceist:218 Mr. Kenneally asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford in respect of a suckler cow premium.

It was a condition of the 1993 premium schemes that applicants applying for premium on 15 livestock units and over were required to submit area aid application. As the person named did not submit an area aid application his application for 1993 suckler cow premium on 15 cows has not been paid to date. However, following a recent EU decision it will be possible to pay on up to 15 livestock units without an area aid application. Accordingly the 1993 suckler cow application of the person named will now be processed and payment will be made in due course.
