Ceist:257 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health if he will review the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 with a view to ensuring that authorisation for optical benefit will be issued without further delay.

As the provision of ophthalmic treatment for persons with eligibility under the Health Acts is the responsibility of the health boards I have asked the chief executive officer of the Eastern Health Board to review this case and to reply to the Deputy without delay.
